Vihiga is a rural community in Western Kenya , 2nd smallest county with a high density population, insufficient social, science and Technology resources and high rates of HIV/AIDS infections that leave many women widowed, single mothers and children as orphans living in child headed households

Joyce Ahono is a fourth born of 4 siblings. She is 17 years and in form 3 at Emmatsi Secondary school. She is a partial orphan and currently lives with her mother who is a peasant farmer.
Joyce scored a scored a B+ in her previous exams and is having challenges in paying her school fees and accessing revision materials.
Joyce is being raised up by a single mother . Her first 2 siblings dropped out of school.
Due to the low income from her mother, Joyce really needs to get someone to sponsor her to pursue her secondary school education.
Life at home is difficult and she promises to work hard in achieving her goals so she can improve her mother lifestyle and the community at large.
